My name is Mary Strejc, and I'm the designer and owner of Stone Porch Studios. I design and handcraft eclectic/bohemian style (wire woven, leather, genuine gemstone, specialty glass, bead embroidered and more) jewelry for you or your dearest friend, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, daughter, or granddaughter; designs that fit your life and the lives of those in your circle.

What do I mean by designs that fit your life?

You know – that necklace you see and immediately think, “That’s so me!” Those earrings you can wear to work, at home, for special events, or really anywhere you want to be you! Those bracelets that can be worn alone or layered with other pieces from the collection to wrap yourself in everything you! It could be the piece that helps you remind your mom just how much she’s provided for and taught you that’s, yes, “so her!” And, for you and those in your circle, designs that fit your life are those you can’t wait to open when they arrive. You have to put it on immediately, and when you do, it’s right.

How do I make that happen for you?

Stone Porch Studios designs that fit your life most often begin on a page in my sketchbook with notes on color, possible gemstones, accents, and metal or textiles. Drawings help to work out techniques and construction details to create pieces that are comfortable and will, with care, last longer. The physical steps in the process are important, but the part of design that truly matters is what in my heart speaks to the needs in yours. For a design to fit your life, it needs to meet you there. More than anything, I want to share in each design the warmth, peace, and comfort I feel when sitting on my stone porch.

How will this piece fit her life or the life of her dearest friend, mom, grandma, sister, aunt, daughter, or granddaughter? Each living her own unique story. For what occasion does this fit her life? Outfitting for a special event? General work accessory? A thank you to her dearest friend? Sister’s Birthday? What is being encouraged, celebrated or overcome in her unique story? What struggles does she face? What is comfort to her?
